Morzino Open Source

We believe in Open Source software and we think that schools should use free software whenever possible. This is why we're releasing most of our software under the GNU General Public License (GPL), including more than 95% of the current Morzino project code (all Morzino core APIs are now part of the default CorneliOS package).

Morzino Open School Server

The Morzino Open School Server will become available in H2/2012, it will be a ready-to-use package for schools that will allow to use all Morzino core features within your school intranet.

  • Free software, will be released under the GPL
  • Will include the entire Morzino virtual class technology
  • Will include the entire Morzino community & social networking technology
  • Will include the entire Morzino library management tools
  • Will run on Linux or MacOS X servers
  • Schools will be able to use a classroom computer as server (any Mac for example)

CorneliOS

Morzino is based on CorneliOS, a web desktop and Perl framework we've been developing during the past few years. CorneliOS is available as free software as we've released it under the GPL, you can get the source code on www.cornelios.org

CorneliOS includes all core APIs we've developed for the Morzino project, including the community layer, the app engine API, the virtual class API and the library management APIs.
